Happy Friday! Boy are we glad it's finally the weekend!
It's rainy in Nashville so Grace will be enjoying her time relaxing and staying cozy over the weekend. She's sporting a comfy and cute dress for her Friday pick! And in Kansas City, Rachel is hosting an event and then flying off to Denver for the Chiefs Monday Night Football game. Check out her football look from last week's game!

A few weeks ago, my hubby spoiled me with a little out of town trip to celebrate the upcoming arrival of our sweet baby, Asher.
He asked me a few months ago where I would like to go for a babymoon and I knew right away that my first choice was Rosemary Beach, Florida. We'd never been before but had heard wonderful feedback from friends that had visited there.
My husband is the best of the best when it comes to planning and he took care of all the details, I just got to show up. What a blessing!
We decided to drive because it's an easy 7 hour road trip and with beach gear, we knew we would need a car. We are both fairly early risers so we hit the road early and arrived at our Airbnb around 3 p.m. It was the perfect size for us and was so adorable, not to mention CLEAN! It was also in the perfect location! We were right in Rosemary Beach and able to walk everywhere.
We got settled and set out to explore. When we started walking around, we realized we were famished so we stopped at the cutest little Tapas restaurant called La Crema Tapas and Chocolate. It was delicious! We ordered a yummy seafood dish and a delicious chocolate molten cake. We were in heaven after a long drive!
The following day we headed over to Alys Beach, not far from Rosemary Beach. Every building at Alys Beach is white and I love the clean lines. It was so incredibly beautiful and we found our new favorite coffee shop, Fonville Press.
The coffee is amazing and the breakfast is even better! We went here several times to grab coffee, eat breakfast or read before heading out to dinner. It was such a cute little spot with the perfect ambience. This is a must if you go to Alys Beach.
It was our goal to get to the beach each day between 9 and 10 am. This was perfect because we had plenty of space to set up before it got crowded. We spent a few hours each day catching some rays, enjoying the feel of the sand between our toes and splashing around in the water. I love being at the beach ... all I need is a good book and good company and everything else takes care of itself.
We had amazing meals every day, but my absolute favorite was at Cafe 30A. It was incredibly delicious and they do a two-for-one special if you arrive between 5 and 6 p.m. for dinner. Luckily, I'm an early dinner kind of gal, so this special was made for me.
I cannot emphasize enough how much of a MUST this place is. I don't think I've ever had a better meal ... that's how good it was! Plus, it's super close to Seaside which is an absolutely adorable little town you won't want to miss.
What are your favorite things to do at the beach? If you've been to Rosemary Beach, leave a comment below with your favorite thing about it!

A big thank you to Rachel and Grace for allowing me to be a guest here on 30upahead.com. I have a wonderfully delicious recipe to share with you that has been a longtime favorite at the Santschi household. The day I first tasted this melt in your mouth bread is clearly etched in my memory ... I was immediately swooning over it and asking my mother-in-law for the recipe.
I was thrilled when I discovered it's made with a few simple ingredients I always have on hand and that it's a very easy, no fail recipe. To my delight, it is consistently requested by my kiddos when I come to town for a visit and when that delicious smell fills the air, it just feels like home no matter where you are.
1. In large pan, bring water and margarine to a boil. Stir in oatmeal. Set aside until cool (about 2 hours).
2. Transfer oatmeal mixture to mixing bowl and add next 4 dry ingredients and stir well (I use my KichenAid mixer on low to stir).
3. Add eggs and stir.
4. Slowly add flour and salt and stir.
5. Bake in lightly greased and floured bread pans at 350 until toothpick comes out clean (approx 1 hour) or muffin pans for about 35 min. Since there's just two of us here, I use mini loaf pans and freeze any extra for another day.
Mmm mmm good! I hope this scrumptious bread makes it's way to your table for breakfast, an after school snack or a late night treat. But whenever it is, I hope you share it with family and friends.
Heaven only knows the number of muffins that have been consumed at my kitchen table while listening to the heart of a friend or the ups and downs of a day at school or the office. Such sweet memories, each and every one!
Thanks for letting me be a small part of your day today. ☺️

I love these protein bites and they’re a staple in my fridge. They’re in high demand for so many reasons - when you need to curb a hunger attack, when you’re short on time and need a quick grab and go snack or just need to crush a sweet tooth craving.
Note - I have been using Further Food Collagen in everything! If you'd like to order some, use the discount code "RACHELSANTSCHI"
1. Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl and stir until thoroughly blended
2. With your hands, form the mixture into small balls and place on wax paper
3. Place in fridge to set and after half an hour, enjoy!
Store in fridge in an air tight container.
Just double this recipe from the get go so you’ll have plenty to share with your spouse, your roommate, the kids, etc.
Until next time!
