Post author: graceA few weeks ago, my hubby spoiled me with a little out of town trip to celebrate the upcoming arrival of our sweet baby, Asher. He asked me a few months ago where I would like to go for a babymoon and I knew right away that my first choice was Rosemary Beach, Florida. We'd never been before but had heard wonderful feedback from friends that had visited there. My husband is the best of the best when it comes to planning and he took care of all the details, I just got to show up. What a blessing! We decided to drive because it's an easy 7 hour road trip and with beach gear, we knew we would need a car. We are both fairly early risers so we hit the road early and arrived at our Airbnb around 3 p.m. It was the perfect size for us and was so adorable, not to mention CLEAN! It was also in the perfect location! We were right in Rosemary Beach and able to walk everywhere. We got settled and set out to explore. When we started walking around, we realized we were famished so we stopped at the cutest little Tapas restaurant called La Crema Tapas and Chocolate. It was delicious! We ordered a yummy seafood dish and a delicious chocolate molten cake. We were in heaven after a long drive! The following day we headed over to Alys Beach, not far from Rosemary Beach. Every building at Alys Beach is white and I love the clean lines. It was so incredibly beautiful and we found our new favorite coffee shop, Fonville Press. The coffee is amazing and the breakfast is even better! We went here several times to grab coffee, eat breakfast or read before heading out to dinner. It was such a cute little spot with the perfect ambience. This is a must if you go to Alys Beach. It was our goal to get to the beach each day between 9 and 10 am. This was perfect because we had plenty of space to set up before it got crowded. We spent a few hours each day catching some rays, enjoying the feel of the sand between our toes and splashing around in the water. I love being at the beach ... all I need is a good book and good company and everything else takes care of itself. We had amazing meals every day, but my absolute favorite was at Cafe 30A. It was incredibly delicious and they do a two-for-one special if you arrive between 5 and 6 p.m. for dinner. Luckily, I'm an early dinner kind of gal, so this special was made for me. I cannot emphasize enough how much of a MUST this place is. I don't think I've ever had a better meal ... that's how good it was! Plus, it's super close to Seaside which is an absolutely adorable little town you won't want to miss. What are your favorite things to do at the beach?
